Snowsports
I’m an experienced snowboard and alpine ski instructor. I’ve worked around the world at major resorts in New Zealand, USA and Japan.
I like to focus on progression – basically, I help you to reach your goals, whatever they may be: make your first turn; hit a kicker; or simply explore the mountain. I love snowboarding and skiing and my aim is to share that with you so that you walk away from a lesson as stoked about the mountains as I am. I work to your pace, with safety paramount.
In my opinion, personal attention and your ability to interact with other people are the most important qualifications for an instructor, but I also hold SBINZ Level 2 snowboard, BASI Level 1 snowboard and NZSIA Level 1 ski certifications.
I’m no longer working seasons, but in 2008/2009 I was based in Niseko Grand Hirafu and Niseko Hanazono working for Niseko International Snow School (NISS).
